Dancer, Performer, Educator
Jason Dang is a 27 year-old Vietnamese-American, born and raised in Houston, Texas. He started dancing in the summer of 2006 and has dedicated more than half of his life crafting his technique, artistry, and musicality in the Hip Hop/Breakin' culture. After graduating high school, he shared his passion by teaching in the Houston surrounding area. When he wasn't teaching, he'd travel to perform and compete by himself or with his crew, The Brothers.
He furthered his education at San Jacinto Community College (South Campus) and received an Associate of Arts in Dance. Upon returning to college, he joined Cirque La Vie, a local Cirque/Circus Arts company that performs around Houston and honed his skill of one arm handstand balancing. After training, performing, and teaching one arm handstand balancing, he bridged his balancing passion from Breaking and Cirque arts to yoga and trained with Lex Gillian at The Yoga Institute to complete his 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher Training (RYTT-200), becoming a certified yoga teacher. He is currently earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Fall 2020 at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas.
He will continue to learn and practice his love for dance and movement, with the support of his family and friends. With an open heart and curious mind, he will continue to explore his versatility as a teacher, dancer, performer and person.
